The system

The system behind
the player.

Rugby development is a long game. The physical, mental and skill sides don't work in isolation. And neither does the career side. Talon sequences them.

01

Pillar 01

Physical

Building the body and the habits required to perform consistently, not occasionally.

  • Preparation
  • Recovery
  • Training habits
  • Physical standards
  • Durability
  • Pain tolerance
  • Professional routines
02

Pillar 02

Mental

How athletes actually survive and progress inside professional environments.

  • Discipline
  • Ego
  • Adversity
  • Decision making
  • Patience
  • Handling setbacks
  • Personal responsibility
03

Pillar 03

Skills

Rugby ability developed through structured learning, analysis and honest feedback.

  • Positional development
  • Technical understanding
  • Game awareness
  • Film analysis
  • Identifying weaknesses
  • Development plans

Free vs inside Talon

Why it matters, versus how to do it.

Public content will always tell you why something matters. The implementation. The frameworks, sequencing and feedback. Lives inside Talon.

Public

Why does this matter?

  • Free articles and worksheets
  • Positional thinking at a high level
  • Honest context on professional environments

Inside Talon

Exactly how do I implement it?

  • Sequenced modules across all three pillars
  • A plan built around your position, level and barriers
  • Film and resource submissions with direct feedback
  • Structured milestone reviews and goal adjustment

The pathway

Seven steps.

01

Apply / Join

You create an account, complete onboarding and tell us exactly where you are right now.

02

Establish the goal

Short-term and long-term targets, in writing.

03

Build the plan

A development pathway built around you. Not a generic training block.

04

Learn

You work through the Physical, Mental and Skills modules inside Talon HQ.

05

Execute

You apply the material and track the work. This part is on you.

06

Review

Structured checkpoints with Sama at 3, 6 and 12 months. Additional access can be purchased separately.

07

Opportunity

Where an athlete has done the work and the fit is right, an introduction inside Sama's network may be appropriate.

Step 07 is discretionary. Introductions depend on completed development work, readiness and fit. Talon does not guarantee representation, selection or contracts.

Questions

The obvious ones.
